Irish Chamber Members and Friends of Ireland,

We are announcing the opening of nominations for our annual Irish Chamber of Commerce Awards. Everyone can have a say in the nominees for these prestigious awards.

This year will be different in that there are three categories:

  1. Sports Person Award. This award will recognise a person who has made the largest contribution to the Irish sporting community in Hong Kong and has helped sporting links between HK & Ireland over the past 12 months. Whether an athlete, player, coach, journalist or volunteer, this person will be someone who has advanced Irish sports or links to Irish sport over the past 12 months.
  1. Company / Business Award. This award will be presented to a company or business with links to Ireland which has contributed most to relations between the Hong Kong, Macau and China Region and Irish commerce. It need not be an Irish company, it may be a business here doing business with Ireland or run by Irish people.
  1. Person Award.  This award goes to someone who has helped Hong Kong – Ireland relations in an effective and material manner. Whether fostering business, cultural, educational or other links, this person has gone the extra mile in Hong Kong-Ireland relations over the last 12 months.

Please can you send your nominations in each category to maple@irishchamber.hk by 6pm on Thursday 24th March.

The winners will be chosen by a committee from nominations received and the awards will be announced and presented at the Irish Chamber Rugby Dinner on 7 April.
